The Organization
The Subdivision and Housing Developers Association, Inc., (SHDA) is the country’s prime national organization of private subdivision and housing developers.

OBJECTIVES
* To unite all registered subdivision and housing developers nationwide under one organization, thereby establishing one voice to articulate private developer’s viewpoints and sentiments on issues and concerns affecting the real estate and housing industry.
* To effectively assume the role and responsibility for the production of affordable and decent housing for the homeless and the underprivileged in partnership with government under the National Shelter Program.

* To establish and promote the highest standards of ethical conduct and professionalism among the members of the association.
* To undertake continuing research and gathering of data relevant to the business interest of members including government regulations, new products and technology, etc. and disseminating these information through circulars, newsletters, exhibits, seminars and workshops.
* In general, to do whatever is beneficial and to the best interest of the members of the association consistent with that of the general welfare and the national interest.

The association has two types of members, namely Regular and Affiliate.

A REGULAR MEMBER shall be any individual, partnership or corporation existing under the laws of the Philippines, licensed by government as a Real Estate Dealer or Developer engaged in the business of acquiring land, solely or in joint venture with other persons, develops such land for residential purposes as a condominium or subdivision with or without housing components and finally sells individually titled lots or housing units to the general public. A Regular Member enjoys all the rights and privileges of membership including the right to vote and be voted into office.

An AFFILIATE MEMBER shall be individuals, partnerships or corporations involved in professional practices and businesses directly allied or related to the business operations of Regular Members. An Affiliate Member enjoys all the rights and privileges of membership except the right to vote and be voted into office.

HOW TO BE A MEMBER

Requirements for REGULAR MEMBERS:
1. Duly accomplished application form secured from the Secretariat office.
2. Company Profile
3. Copy of SEC Registration
4. Bio-data with picture of official representative and alternate.
5. HLURB Development Permit

Requirements for AFFILIATE MEMBERS:
Same requirements as above except for number 5.

FEES AND DUES
P 5,000.00 Application Fee (one time payment)
P 7,500.00 Annual Dues (for regular members)
P 10,000.00 Annual Dues (for affiliate members)
