ORGANIZATION OF MORE LOCAL CHAPTERS
In recognizing the SHDA’s nationwide mandate SHDA aims to give provincial developers the opportunity to participate in and be represented in the organization, and to expand the SHDA’s perspectives to include their concerns.
INTENSIVE MEMBERSHIP CONSULTANT
The SHDA will hold membership consultations to discuss major concerns of members especially in the region. Efforts will be directed to be responsive to members’ business and professional concerns with the end in view of making SHDA more relevant to the membership and eventually increasing their participation in the association’s many activities.
ADVOCACY EDITORS
SHDA will strengthen its advocacy plans and programs. Major issues on the industry will be prioritized such as sustainable financing for housing and subsidy for the lower income groups.
STRONG PARTNERSHIP WITH HUDCC, KEY HOUSING GOVERNMENT AGENCIES, AND OTHER INSTITUTIONS CONCERNED WITH HOUSING
SHDA will strengthen its continuing partnership with government in seeking solutions to the adequate provision of decent and affordable housing for all.
ANNUAL NATIONAL DEVELOPERS’ CONVENTION
SHDA will hold conventions and facilitate other avenues to ventilate and address issues, concerns and feedback of developers to ultimately facilitate housing production to address the country’s housing need.
UNIFICATION THRU THE PRIVATE SECTOR CONSULTATIVE COUNCIL FOR SHELTER (PCCS)
Efforts to ling and coordinate with other private sector groups/organizations on the housing industry for a more unified approach in addressing common concerns will be pursued.
REACTIVATION OF VARIOUS WORKING COMMITTEES THRU THE INVOLVEMENT OF MEMBERS
SHDA members will be encouraged to actively participate and provide expertise to various working committees of SHDA which are organized to address the different issues and problems of the housing industry.
Assistance to Members
The SHDA extendends assistance and expertise on:
Dealing with the executive and legislative offices of government including the local government units.
Research and data banking pertaining to construction, housing and urban development
Training and development through seminars and workshops
Information dissemination on government policies, programs, laws/legislations including implementing rules and regulations affecting housing and urban development
Issuance of BIR certificates of SHDA membership for reduced rates of withholding taxes
Media advocacy on policies and programs to promote the interest of members
Business meetings and fora on relevant matters affecting the housing and real estate industry
Information on new and innovative technologies on housing and construction
Linkages/Networks
The National Government, in particular the HUDCC and the different housing agencies i.e. NHMFC, HIGC, HLRB, HDMF, NHA
LEGISLATIVE, liaison with congress and senate on matters affecting the real estate and housing industry
LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNITs, coordination with local officials
Non-Governmental Organizations and Peoples Organizations, networking with NGOs and POs.
Other PROFESSIONALS in the housing sector, including Architects, Engineers, Urban Planners, Bankers and related professionals
